Band Practice
Band practice was very hard. With me being in percussion, we have a lot of extra practices. The cadences we are doing are very hard and we marched around for a bit. Basically, it's not very fun, until the football games.

Lunch took forever today. I had to wait a half-hour to get my lunch!!! Also, some other news: we were going to play "Conqesta" and "I'm a Believer" in the Fair Parade, but now instead of "I'm a Believer" we are playing "Hey Ya!". That's all I have to say.
I am taking Spanish class in high school this year, so I have decided to translate my blog. You can find it at villageidiotrandomthingsespanol.blogspot.com. There are just a few things that are not in Spanish, and those are template related. I have been in the class less than a week, so until I learn enough to form some decent sentences, I am using Google to translate my posts.
This movie was much better (than Princess Diaries 2), didn't follow the original "80 Days" story, but it was better. It had lots of cool action scenes with ninjas and all that, and evil and corrupt Science Minister, and did I mention ninjas? It was good, with lots of funny gags. Basically, the team of Disney/Walden Media, comes up with another winner (they made Holes together, among other movies) getting an 9/10, for having a fast paced, action-filled comedy.
I'm not going to lie. It was SLOW. It did have some funny parts, but it overall moved too slow, with little/no action. Also, it was extrememly predictable. Of course, there has to be a snag before she can be queen. I would NEVER have guessed that someone would try to steal the throne (picking up on the sarchasm?). And, most predictably, she falls in love. Basically 4/10, for some humor, but overall, a very generic movie.
Ah, the drive-in. I love it so. Even though it got a little bit chilly last night. Wait, better word, downright COLD. I live near the Milton-Freewater, Oregon "M-F Drive-In Theater". It's really nice to have a drive in, when they are really a thing of the past. And last night they had a family friendly movie. Not one, but two. The drive-in here always shows a double feature, for just $9 a CAR. Last night (and this weekend, if anyone from the SE-Washington, NE-Oregon area is reading this) they showed "The Princess Diaries 2" and "Around the World in 80 Days." Next, two individual post about these movies.
Alas, templates...I HATE YOU!!! Just as I am about to finish with my templates, BLOGGER ADDS ANOTHER FEATURE THAT ISN'T SUPPORTED BY THEM. But I will finish them. Soon. That's all I'm saying. Also, I had a lousy day today, so I'm happy to scream at my readers.
Well, the first day went well. That's all I have to say on that topic. Stop the broadcast. Now I have to begin on my next post...wait, it's still going! Off. --~~END OF TRANSMISSION~~--
Well, I am almost done with the basic dark template. I just haven't gotten the images to work...yet. Also, I need to redo the website to make it all standardized-like and, well I have to do that with the templates too. The version 3.0 of the templates will include:
I will hopefully get them finished this weekend, or at least by the time the fair rolls into town.
Also, I had to deal with my templates not being compatible with the Blogspot ads, and now the Navbar (that thingy up at the top). However, the Navbar was a simple fix. A couple of <.br.> tags and the problem fixed itself! I am also adding an <.//INSERT. ADSENSE .HERE//.> tag into the template in response to Blogger's invitation to make money off your blog. I probably will not decide to do that, but anything is possible! (Money is ALWAYS a good thing)
Bad news, at the time I finished this post (4:30 PM PST) school begins in 14 hours and 10 minutes or so (it begins at 7:45 AM tomorrow, feel free to correct my countdown if you so wish).
(Remove the . s from the tags)
Note (added on 8/30/04): I can't add Adsense to my blog, you must be 18 or older, and (if you read my profile), I am only 15.
I have now run Feedburner for this blog. Basically, the "Add to My Yahoo!" link now links to a feedburner feed of this blog. It will automatically configure the feed to the best format for your reader. You can just view the feed by clicking the button (or clicking this one!)
I was bored, so I decided to quickly add a link to download Mozilla Firefox to the sidebar. Click it, download it, use it, throw IE out the virtual window. Do it, NOW! (Actually, keep IE. Some programs depend on it being there.)
[Weird Zombie-Like Voice]Click here, you will be glad you did. [end voice]
IF YOU ARE A MYST SERIES FAN, YOU MUST CLICK HERE.
IF YOU AREN'T...CLICK THERE ANYWAY.
Well, I haven't been blogging as much as I have wanted to, but I have finally made a new post. The important thing is...Here were my goals for the summer:
I like the game Myst. I wish I had the other games in the series: Riven, Myst III: Exile, and Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. But what I REALLY want is Myst IV, coming out next month. I have been following it avidly for the last week. The Mac demo can be downloaded now via BitTorrent, from a link on Mysterium. The windows download of the demo comes out tommorow on Gamespot. You can get it the moment it comes out with Gamespot's Secure Delivery (IE ONLY). Click here to see the news about it and get the subscription to the demo. This is going to be great!!
Well, camp was very fun. Now, as I promised, I shall do a day by day rundown of it, but on my other site, villageidiot.squarespace.com, click on "Camp Log."
